Dromara Hill Climb Challenge
Dromara Cycling Club held their Slieve Croob Hill Climb Challenge today in the scenic Dromara Hills. The course went from the village of Finnis up Dree hill and then turned left up to the top of Slieve Croob. This is the highest tarmaced road in Ireland. Fifty five riders completed the gruelling course and fastest to the top was Darnell Moore (Caldwell Cycles) current Irish Hill climb champion. It was more than just a race though as many sport prizes were awarded and many just took part for the challenge. Spectators and the riders enjoyed the fine weather and Dromara CC provided a BBQ in Kings pub Finnis after the event.
