Potts Wins McCann Cup

Mark Potts (unattached) won the main A1 & 2 race for the McCann Cup today in Fintona County Tyrone. A full day of racing took place despite the freezing conditions.

Potts was best in a two man sprint after the 70 miles race. Craig McAuley (Caldwell Cycles) was second and Darnell Moore (Caldwell Cycles) third. Cahir Doyle (Powerhouse Sport) won the A3 race from North Down junior Nathan Keown.

Patrick Cahill (Harps CC) won the A4 race in a bunch sprint.

Earlier in the morning James Gault (Phoenix CC) took a great win in the masters race while Selinna Sweeney (Termon Wheelers) won the womens event. It was a hard day for racing but the biggest credit must go to the marshals and other race officials who spent hours outside in the freezing weather.
