Bann Valley Classic
Paul McCarter (Donegal Bay Cycling Club) won the Bann Valley Classic road race today in Clady. Paul raced clear of a twelve man leading group on the 7th and final lap of the rolling 8 mile circuit. North Down rider Stuart Henry led the rest home for second with the winners brother Daragh McCarter (Donegal Bay) third. The A3 event was won by John Bann Lavery (Clann Eirean) with another blast from the past Fergal Magee (Appollo CC) 2nd and Colin Loughrey (Unattached) third.
The Bann Valley Road Club also held an A4 race and as usual all the riders and supporters were well fed in the prize giving after the racing.
