Superb Win for Ethan at Mid Ulster GP
Harps Cycling Club, Cookstown, promoted their annual Mid Ulster Grand Prix yesterday (Sunday 23rd April 2017). A full programme of races were held with under age ladies and masters competing in the morning and the four open categories racing in the afternoon. The main event was won by Ethan Downey (Clann Eireann) who was one minute ahead of Daragh McCarter (Donegal Bay CC) with Kevin McKinney (Armagh City Cyclists) third. Darren Irwin (East Tyrone CC) won the A4 race wwhich ended with a bunch sprint. Ards CC man Kyle Adams was second with John Davidson third. John Rafferty (North Down CC) won the Masters race in a sprint with Anthony Michell (Bikehouse) second and Geoff Hewitt third (Phoenix CC).
