Killinchy Grand Prix
Killinchey Cycling Club promoted their first open road race today on a hilly circuit on the roads around Balloo and Ballygowan. The main race for A1 ands A2 riders was 6 laps of the ten miles course and Lindsay Watson (Powerhouse Sport) took the win in the uphill finish into Killinchy village.
The A3 event was son by junior star Harvey Barnes (East Tyrone)while Joshua Daley (VC Iveagh) won the A4 event which was 4 laps (40 miles).
It was a great days racing held by the killinchy Club which was only formed five years ago.
