One, Two, For Donegal Brothers
Daragh McCarter (Donegal Bay CC) won the John Mulligan Memorial Race today in Fintona. He was the strongest of an eight man breakaway group at the end of the seven lap race (100KM) with his brother Paul McCarter (Donegal Bay) second and Omagh wheeler rider Angus Fyffe third. Ali Gribbon continued his fine form in fourth place. Harvey Barnes (East Tyrone CC) won the A3 race with an impressive sprint which took him well clear of runner up Calvin Moore (Caldwell Cycles) and speedy veteran Chris McCann (Inspired Cycling). The A4 race was won by Declan O'Neill of the Square Wheels Club.
The Strule Wheelers and the Mulligan family staged a great day of racing which was a fitting tribute to Johnny Mulligan.
