West Down Wheelers Charity Event
The West Down Wheelers held their Annual Tour of Down Leisure Charity event today.
Three hundred and two cyclists took part in the tour which started and finished in Katesbridge. The challenging route took the riders to Castlewellan, Newcastle then along the coast to Rostrevor over the hills to Hilltown and back home via Castlewellan again.
The was also a shorter 43 mile route via Bryansford. The famous West Down hospitality and fine food was enjoyed at the end in the Katesbridge Orange Hall.
One of the chosen charities to benefit from this memorable day is Childrens Heartbeat Trust Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. The Wheelers committee will decide on other charities as well.
