Shimna Wheelers Host Round 9 Ulster CycloCross League

The rejuvenated Shimma Wheelers staged Round 9 of the Ulster CycloCross series in Donard Park Newcastle.
The riders enjoyed a dry course for a change but faced a cold wind blowing of the Irish Sea. The dominant
Roger Aiken (Team Asea) was first in the 'A' race, well clear of Barry Kellett (Dromara CC) and Graham
Boyd (XMTB) in 2nd and 3rd.
Liam Dolan (Cuchulain CC) won the 'B' event while Beth McCluskey (Scott Orwell Wheelers)
was best of the women. John Scott (Island Wheelers) won the mountain bike support race and Alison McMullan (North Down)
