Dunloy Cycling Club held their first open road race on a testing 18 miles course which started and finished in Dunloy Main Street. Pappys bakery sponsored the races. Chris McKeown gave the host club the win in the main race for A3 riders. Chris won a sprint from a six man breakaway after three laps of the hilly course. The A4 event ended in a bunch sprint won by Phoenix veteran Michael Toalan while Gerry Maguire (Phoenix CC) soloed to the line for victory in the masters race. Noel Boyce(North Down CC) showed some of his old form with a third place in the Masters. Noel has had a long recovery since breaking his fe mour last November.
