SEAT Super 7 CYCLING SERIES
An exciting new Criterium series was launched today on the Agnew Seat facebook page. The super seven cycling series is sponsored by Agnew Seat Cars and runs from 3rd June (Newry) until 13th August in Bangor.
This series is the brainchild of North Down Cycling Club Chairman Ian Blayney and Agnew Seat Chief of Sales Simon Trainor who is also a keen cyclist and a member of the Bangor club.
The other venues are Derry, Antrim, Newtownards, Banbridge and Titanic Quarter, Belfast. Some are established events like the Ards Town Centre race and Banbridge while some are new to the race calendar. All races are organised by the local clubs and are based in the town centres. There is an overall prize fund of £1000, a jersey for each race winner and a champions jersey for the overall and series winner. The races will also have their own prize list and the series is open to A1,A2 and A3 riders plus eligible junior riders.
During the build up to the series you will see the Agnew Seat promotion car, a Monsoon Grey Leon 2.0 TDI FR 150 at various race venues. Please come over and have a look at the car and the series literature.
This will give a lot of our good short circuit racers a focus for the summer months and rejuvenate the evening race scene which seemed to be a bit lacking in recent times.
The series will finish in the seaside town of Bangor on 13th August.
