Shaw Wins Tour of Ards
Damian Shaw (Team Asea) was the dominant winner of todays See Sense Tour of Ards.
The Mullingar man attaccked the leading breakaway group with twenty miles remaining and at the finish in Newtownards he was 2 minute 44 seconds ahead of a five man group led in by David Watson (North Down CC. Craig McAuley (Roe Valley) was third with Mark McKinley (Newry), Sean Featherstone (Newry Wheelers) and Alastair McAuley (Team Asea) completing the top six.
Brian Stewart (Phoenix CC) took the bunch sprint for seventh ahead of junior rider Jake Grey (Nicholas Roche Development Team), Ryan Bankhead (Ballymena RC) and Roger Aiken (Team Asea).
