McIntyre and Downey Win Memorial Trophies

Sean McIntyre and Liam Dolan (Cuchullainn, Dundalk) finished first and second in the prestigious John Beggs Memorial road race at Dromore County Down today.

McIntyre seems to like Banbridge CC events as he was the winner of their season opener back in February at Annaclone.
Jason Nultly (DID Dunboyne) was best of the six man group for third place. Cormac Clarke (Newry), David Watson (North Down), and Fraser Duncan (Northern Dave-Kane), Ronan McLaughlin (Dig Deep Coaching) , Angus Fyffe (Omagh) and Paul Ferguson (North Down) completed the top ten in this very tough and hilly seventy mile race.

Local man Mark Downey (Nicholas Roche Development team) was a popular winner of the Sean McGreevey memorial race for A3 and juniors.

Dromara CC's Nathan Mullan was second with Joe Henry (Velo Club Magasin) third.

Tommy Wilson (Ballymena) won the A4 race while Lorraine Jeffers (East Tyrone) and Brian Hannan were best in the ladies and over 50's respectively.
