Bangor man Fraser Duncan was dominant from start to finish in today Spires Grand Prix at Ballyronan. Fraser, back in his old club Northern/Dave Kane Cycles, forged ahead with East Antrim pair Daniel Stewart and Gary Cranston on the first of six laps.

Stewart dropped back before half way but the other two caught and went straight past the A3 group. At the finish Fraser was several seconds clear of Cranston while the bunch sprint was won by the ever green Gordon Scott (East Antrim) for third place.

There was a crash in the sprint mid bunch, four riders came down. The rest of the A1 & 2 scratch group was lead in by Curran racing teams David Hamilton

Phoenix rider Jody Wright was impressive in winning the A4 bunch gallop while comeback rider Chris Brown (Ards) formerly Orchard wheelers was in the points again in 4th place.
