Kinning Wins Dungannon Cyclocross

Island Wheelers hosted Round 3 of the Ulster Cyclo Cross series in Windmill Wood Dungannon.

The recent wet weather resulted in the first 'mucky' race of the season.

Glen Kinning (Kinning Cycles) was the impressive winner of the 'A' racce ahead of Darnell Moore (Caldwell Cycles, Omagh) and Aidan McDonald(Cuchullain CC). Johnny Reid (Kinning Cycles) did a good ride in his first cyclo cross race to finish in 4th.

The Coalisland based Island Wheelers upheld their reputation for feeding racers and supporters with another excellent spread of soup, tea/coffee, sandwiches and buns and all in the middle of a forest with a generator providing their electricity. The food area was open all day and the tea ladies and the club must be congratulated on this service and their committment to promoting good events for Ulster Cycling.
