'My Dylan' Completes Melbourne Half Marathon
My son Dylan has just completed his first half marathon.
Dylan currently lives in Melbourne and so decided he would take part in the Melbourne Half Martathon today (Sunday 12th).
Just a few weeks ago he told me he had bought a new pair of runner trainers and was back at the gym. i thought thats great he is enjoying himself. It came as a big shock on 29th September when he told me he had entered the half marathon.
With hardly any training he give it a go and completed it in a very respectable 2 hours 10 minutes and was 6469 out of 12,000. I think he is just brilliant but then 'Im his mummy'. well done son. Its a wee bit sad though that I wasn't there to take his photo.
Before he started he took photos of the crowd for me and sent them and then when he finished he sent me one of a very tired looking Dylan.
