Ambrose Wins At Banbridge

James Ambrose (Curran Racing) won todays A4 race at Banbridge. The Portavogie man won the sprint from a ten rider breakaway after 4 laps of the tough Banbridge, Gilford Scarva circuit. James was delighted with the win and looks set to follow his friend and team mate David Hamilton into the higher categories. These two young riders have made a big impression in their first racing season. There was success for an other North Down man as Keith Hooks (North Down CC) gained his first ranking points in third place while Ards CC's Ian Carson was sixth. This race was marred by a crash in the chasing bunch just before the finish. Lets hope everyone makes a full recover.

Other winners today were Luke Hylands (Keevan CC) who won a bunch sprint for  the A3 race while Thomas Martin (Eurocycles) won the main event for the Noel Taggart Memorial. Haley Priestly (Latern Rouge) won the ladies event.

Banbridge promoted a great day of racing including underage events. The after race refresments were well received back in the Banbridge Hockey Club at the prize giving. The great weather was enjoyed by all.
