Inglis Wins Mid Ulster GP

Ian Inglis (Curran Racing) won the Mid Ulster GP today in Cookstown with a solo attack fifteen miles from the finish.

The Bangor teenager was one minute clear at the line. This was a gutsy ride in tough weather conditions during the sixty five miles race. Newry veteran Des Woods was second.

The strong wins and fast racing caused the bunch to split into several groups. The A4 race ended in a bunch sprint with Harps CC taking a home win. North Downs Garth Beattie showed improved speed to take eight place in the charge for the line.

The Harps Cycling club had a busy day as in the morning they promoted youth, ladies and masters races. The photos are of the afternoon races only.
