Rainy Day At Castlereagh
The weather today was cold and wet which is usually the day for the John Moore Memorial road race! Castlereagh CC must check the long range forecast to ensure that their race is won by a suitably 'hard man' to honor the memory of John Moore. Big bunches started the main race and the A4 race but small groups finished.
Johns wife Gladys was in the lead car of the 'A' race and also presented the John Moore memorial Cup to the popular winner, Daniel Stewart (East Antrim).
Daniel is 18 years old and he was followed home by another teenager Conor McIlwaine (Errigal) with Gary Cranston (East Antrim), third.
Young riders Connor McAteer and Mark Downey were fourth and fifth, as a new generation of strong riders emerge!
Daniel Stewarts uncle Peter 'Never Packs' did a great race to win A3 award.
