Mountain Bike Support Race

Mountain Bike Support Race

It was extra muddy today in Ormeau park for Round 6 of the winter Cyclo Cross seies.
The XMTB club hosted a full program of events from under age to adults. The mountain bike race had a huge turn out and after the first lap Johnny Reid(North Down CC) had a good lead with Paul Ferguson and Ross Blyney ( both North Down CC) chasing.
Reid unfortunately broke his chain on Lap 2 and retired. Ross Blayney took the lead on Lap 5 and went on to win. Paul Ferguson was in the top three again to cement his lead in the overall league.
A great result for Ross who has just returned to racing after a shoulder injury.
