Super Turn Out For Phoenix Cyclocross

Round 2 of the Ulster Cyclo Cross series was promoted by Phoenix CC in Lady Dixon Park Belfast.

Johnny Bogues and his club put on a superb event and were rewarded with a record turn out of 306 competitors

The main race was dominated by southern riders with Robin Seymour winning from Evan Ryan and Tim O'Regan. AnPost/Sean Kelly Team road pro Ronan McLaughlin did a great ride in his first cyclocross for fifth place while Glen Kinning (East Antrim) was best local in sixth. Matthew Adair (XMTB) ws sure of a podium position until a mechanical problem held him up. Claire Oakley was first of the females while Thomas Hepburn won the 'B' cyclo cross.
